Chadds Ford

Chadds Ford, situated in southwest Pennsylvania, was the site of the Battle of Brandywine, a battle fought between the American Continental Army of General George Washington and the British Army of General Sir William Howe on September 11, 1777 during the American Revolutionary War. More troops fought at Brandywine than any other battle during the American Revolution and this battle also marked the second single-day battle of the war with continual fighting for 11 hours.
