Dental Partners Extract Their Income on Their Tax Returns

Two dentists practicing in Waukesha, WI, were sentenced to six months in prison, and two years of probation, for cheating on their state business tax returns.

According to court documents, the pair had their accountant prepare their returns using handwritten documents and under reported their income in 2009 by $227,656, in 2010 by $247,428 and in 2011 by $219,663, amounting to a loss to the state of Wisconsin a total of $53,678.
